As Director of Finance & Accounting, Bruce oversees the financial information that supports Cascadia’s development and construction activities, ensuring costs, revenues and reporting remain timely and accurate. He brings more than 20 years of experience in multifamily development, spanning townhomes, low-rise communities and high-rise construction. During his career, Bruce has been responsible for arranging more than $900 million in financing and has contributed to the delivery of over 1,500 homes. He has also built and developed accounting teams, implemented ERP systems and improved financial processes — including reducing construction draw timelines by five days.
Bruce is a doer by nature and happiest when he is building, fixing, learning or moving. His longest-running project is a 1962 Triumph TR4, which he began rebuilding at 15 and still owns today. Growing up in Colwood and Metchosin, with summers on his grandfather’s Salt Spring Island farm, left him with a lasting love of the outdoors. He later coached soccer for 17 years, including an impressive stint at the BC Summer Games. His perfect day involves the top down, a country road, a lake for a swim and a small restaurant discovered on the way home.
Considerate but focused, Bruce approaches decisions by gathering the facts, weighing every side and finding practical ways to make systems work better. His guiding principle is simple: walk your talk and do what you say you will do.
